FABIO MARIANO
In art it often happens that the same subject is repeatedly created, with minimal differences, sometimes with important variations that, in fact, can be considered as separate works rather than variations.
I conceive them as milestones on the path of the search for the form that is best suited to the soul of the author, but which in reality also represent splits of life.
Beyond the album is the collection of some of these passages, which I will share with you from time to time, because perhaps what for me is part of an evolution to others may seem the point of arrival.
Infinity
(Telèia original version)
It is the original version composed in 2018 to be part of the soundtrack of Telèia, the immersive multimedia center of the Capo Caccia - Isola Piana Protected Marine Area. The video was made by IP Motive as a promotion of Alghero.
Speranze
At the beginning of 2016 I composed specifically for the competition "AFeVA", the Association of Relatives and Victims of Asbestos, "Speranze". On that occasion I had the honor of winning the first prize ex-æquo with Eleonora Garau who presented the work "Suffering". I wanted in some way to represent the condition of the many men and women who every day have to fight against a devious evil that has struck workers, soldiers, ordinary citizens, unaware of living in contact with a poisonous snake that slowly crept in bringing destruction. . But I also wanted to give hope with harmonies that after becoming aware of the drama become cheerful and still look to life with confidence.
Infinity
(Dexibell live improvisation)
There are a total of three versions of Infinity. This is the third in the series and is a variant made as a live improvisation, using my trusty Dexibell digital piano.
Articolo 1
The piece dates back to 2017 and was composed in order to participate in the "Oxymoron" competition with the theme of work. During the 15 days of exhibition, Article 1 achieved a successful flattering.
One day, by chance ...
"One day, by chance ..." has a somewhat particular history.
It is a song that I composed in 2016 and that until I decided to put it on the Net did not even have a title. I never recorded it on my piano and the only real execution is this. Shot in the tower of San Giovanni in #Aghero with a #samsung phone, the video was loaded without any cut, without reprocessing in post-production, neither video nor audio, with background vocals and noises that derive from the fact that while I was playing setting up the event of the association AFeVA Sardinia against asbestos, in which I participated (winning ex æquo the 1st prize) with the song "Hope".
